International Conference on English Teaching and Linguistics (ICoETLin)

The English Education Study Program, situated at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (UMSU), aims to be distinguished in the development of knowledge, technology, professionalism, and the character of human resources in the field of English Education.Its primary objective is to produce highly competent graduates who excel in teaching English, conducting research and community service, and exhibiting personality. The program strives to be a source of creativity, innovation, and utility for the education and language communities, as well as the general public, with a significant impact on improving the quality of human resources for the 5.0 industrial revolution era, especially for educators and faculty members. To achieve its stated vision, mission, and objectives, the English Language Education Study Program recognizes the need for innovative and creative initiatives. Along with curriculum updates and enhanced teaching quality, the program seeks to foster increased collaboration and implement academic activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. In line with this approach, the English Language Education Study Program intends to host The Annual Business Meeting of APSPBI & International Conference on English Teaching and Linguistics (ICo-ETLin) in conjunction with the Central Association of English Education Study Programs (APSPBI). This annual event is a significant undertaking, carried out regularly with participation from English Education Study Programs across Indonesian universities that are members of the APSPBI. The English Education Study Program of UMSU has been chosen to host the conference in 2023, demonstrating the program’s trust and capabilities in carrying out this prestigious event.
