English Language Education Study Program Association (ELESPA) to Host International Webinar Series
Surabaya, Indonesia – May 4, 2025 – The English Language Education Study Program Association (ELESPA), the leading association for English language education programs in Indonesia, is proud to announce a complimentary international webinar series scheduled for May 5th and May 19th, 2025. This initiative underscores ELESPA’s commitment to fostering international networking and collaboration with emerging scholars from around the world. The webinars are open to students, lecturers, and English language practitioners.
The first webinar, on May 5th, 2025, will feature two distinguished speakers. Kou Herrema Tianyi, the Digital Humanities Research Coordinator from Michigan State University, USA, will present on the topic of Digital Humanities. Joining her will be Dr. Maya Masita from Universitas Muhammadiyah Bulukumba, Indonesia, who will discuss English for Specific Purposes: Bridging Language and Professional Needs.
Continuing the series, the second webinar on May 19th, 2025, will host Eunmi Kim from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, South Korea. Her presentation will focus on A Corpus Study on Collocations in L1 and L2 Writing. The Indonesian speaker for this session will be Dr. Fauzia from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan, who will share her insights on Intercultural Studies.
