APSPBI Holds Second Pre-Annual Business Meeting with Direct Input from Members
September 13, 2025—The Association of English Language Education Study Programs (APSPBI) successfully concluded its second Pre-Annual Business Meeting (Pre-ABM), marking another crucial step in preparing for the APSPBI International Conference and Annual Business Meeting 2025. Unlike the previous meeting, this session provided a direct, interactive platform for participants to discuss key issues in a series of breakout rooms.
The meeting was specially attended by the APSPBI Honorary Council Member, Prof. Paulus Kuswandono, Ph.D., who is one of the association’s founders and its first president for two terms. His presence brought invaluable wisdom and perspective to the discussions.

Prof. Kuswandono delivered key directives on how members can better prepare for accreditation forms. He emphasized that the association should play a direct and active role by organizing various activities that specifically support the accreditation process. He expressed his deep appreciation for the Pre-ABM initiative, highlighting its potential to be a significant point of leverage for members during their accreditation assessments.
The breakout room discussions allowed for a more focused exchange of ideas among department heads and members. This format enabled direct communication and problem-solving, ensuring that all voices were heard. The insights gathered will be instrumental in shaping the agenda for the main conference, ensuring it directly addresses the needs of study programs and contributes to both institutional and individual professional development.
The success of the second Pre-ABM reaffirms APSPBI’s commitment to creating a collaborative and supportive environment for its members, paving the way for a highly impactful and successful 2025 conference.
